About Donnert Racing

Donnert Racing is a passionate, family-oriented stock car racing team based in Owosso, Michigan. Racing isn’t just a hobby for this team—it’s a way of life, rooted in decades of dedication and a shared love for the sport.

The team is led by Alex Donnert, a 28-year-old 3rd-generation racecar driver with a rich family history in racing. Alex began his career in 2007 at just 11 years old, winning the Sport Stocks Track Championship and Rookie of the Year at Owosso Speedway in his rookie season. Since then, he has competed in events across the Midwest, constantly testing, learning, and refining his skills with the help of his close-knit team.

Donnert Racing’s primary team includes:

• Laci Donnert: Alex’s father, crew chief, multi track champion, and occasional driver, bringing years of experience and wisdom to the team.

• McKenzie Donnert: Alex’s wife, who provides essential support and energy at every race.

• Christa Donnert: Laci’s wife, whose encouragement and dedication play a vital role in the team’s success.

• Cameron Brands: Talented and hardworking crew member who provides support in the shop and on race days.

• Caden Comer: Sport stock driver and crew member who provides support in the shop and on race days.

• Ray Musser: Dedicated spotter for the Donnert Racing Team and former championship car owner.

The Donnert family’s racing legacy began in the 1960s with Alex’s great uncles and has since grown to include seven Track Championships. This storied tradition continues today, with the team striving for excellence both on and off the track.

With a deep passion for circle track stock car racing and an unyielding drive to improve, Donnert Racing is excited for the 2025 season and beyond. Fans and supporters are at the heart of everything they do, making every lap on the track that much more meaningful.
